You’ll have so much fun you won’t be able to wipe the grin off your face all day. For lunch enjoy a well-earned feast at the local Corner Store or the Forrest Brewery.
Next, we’ll head deep into the hinterland and the top of the rainforest, marvel at the tall timber along the drive down the other side of the range to the coast and the iconic Great Ocean Road. At Kennett River we’ll have a look for Koala’s in the trees and check out the local birdlife. From here we drive along the GORd to Lorne enjoying the views it’s renowned for, including Teddy Lookout. Marvel at Erskine Falls one of the many waterfalls the region is famous for.
Back on the GORd we’ll stop at one of the many popular beaches for afternoon tea. In Aires Inlet, you’ll learn a little about the areas maritime history and the role light houses have played in reducing the number of ship wrecks along the coast. At Point Addis you can look out at the spectacular ruggedness of the coastline, maybe go for a late stroll along a remote beach. Finally check out the iconic Bells Beach, home of the Rip Curl Pro Surfing competition, then you can relax for the final drive back into Geelong. What a day!
